Shikhar is a 1992 Bollywood film released on 18 January 1992. Directed by Rajiv Rai, the film stars Sunny Deol, Raveena Tandon and Amrish Puri in pivotal roles. One of them, Ajay (Sunny Deol), is an honest & genuine police officer, who wants to provide for Amita the best that he can. The other brother, Amar (Rajat Kapoor), is a sly conman, who uses his charms on women to take money off of them. Amita falls for Ajay, and falls hard. She tries very hard to get close to him, but all her attempts are foiled by Amar's deceitful ways. Eventually, she comes up with a plan herself; Amar invites her over to his place for dinner. Ajay sits outside in the car because he does not want to intrude on their "family" dinner. Amar is surprised that Amar does not care what Amita thinks; all he wants to do is take her money and leave. Amar tells her that she can tell Ajay one more time that he loves her, and then she can go with him. Amita leaves, and Ajay follows. He finds her at an airport, and they share a passionate kiss. He takes her to his police station, where his superiors support him in his plan to propose marriage to Amita (he already has a ring). Amar sees them together and gets jealous. A fight ensues between Amar & Ajay, during which Amar attempts to stab Ajay's partner in the fight, Ravi Kumar (Dharmendra). Ravi Kumar disarms Amar, and he is arrested. Amita returns home with Ajay. The brothers are reconciled, and Ajay sets up a surprise marriage for Amita with Amar in order to take away any chance of Amar getting anything from Amita. Realizing his mistake, Amar instead wants to marry Amita, but she refuses since she loves Ajay more than Amar ever could. The film ends with Ajay & Amita looking at their wedding rings, which are identical! "Shikhar" was released on 18 January 1992.
